Register

I am registering for the following session(s)
Sunday, April 27: 1-4:30pm | In-person
-Personal Leadership Stylesto better understand your own leadership style(s), the leadership styles of those around you, and how each person’s leadership style might impact the congregation.

-Leadership SkillsWe will highlight important skills for new leaders, which should help you develop a shared understanding of what it means to be a leader in our congregation.
-Social Justiceto help you understand why Tikkun Olam is considered a core value of Reform Judaism; to discuss how social justice work can strengthen congregational life.
-THZ Mission, Vision & Valuesto understand the importance of our congregation’s defining statements; to learn how these essential tools can be used as guideposts in creating programs, initiatives, and standards of behaviour.

-Congregational Governance- to help you understand the concept of governance and familiarize you with the breadth of synagogue issues that fall under its umbrella.
-Financial Responsibility of Congregational Leadersto introduce you to financial issues you will need to understand as you make decisions for your community, and show you how those decisions should be influenced by your congregation’s mission, vision, values, and goals. It is also intended to help you understand that finances, just as any other area of the congregation, should be seen as sacred work.
-Goal Settingfocuses on goal setting. The process of goal setting helps identify and refine what is important for your personal Jewish journey and encourages us to articulate our big hopes and aspirations for the future of the congregation.

-Being a Congregational Ambassadorfocuses on a role that each congregational leader has but often does not think about: being an ambassador. A leader should represent the congregation both within its walls to its members and to the Jewish and secular community at large.
